We're away until 24th October. The shop remains open, and orders placed in the meantime will be carefully packed and dispatched from 25th October. If you're ordering a gift, please allow for this when planning your delivery date. We'll still reply to messages while we're away, though possibly with a delay.
A hand-finished Highland slate coaster and serving tray set, each piece engraved with a portrait of two Exmoor ponies, noses together in a heather-fringed meadow — one of Britain's oldest and hardiest native pony breeds, still found roaming wild on Exmoor today.
Choose your format:
- Single Coaster — one 10cm x 10cm engraved slate coaster.
- Set of 4 Coasters — four matching coasters, ideal for a full table setting.
- Serving Tray — a handled slate tray, 18.5cm deep x 34cm wide (including handle), just 0.5cm thick.
- Full Set — the serving tray plus a matching set of 4 coasters, together.
All pieces are finished with foam feet on the underside to protect furniture and worktops.
Personalisation: available free of charge — if you'd like a name or initials engraved alongside the ponies, or a short message on the back, add your wording to the “Name, date or message to engrave” box on this page before you add to your basket. We engrave exactly what's submitted, so do double-check spelling and capitalisation first.
Each piece is engraved into genuine Highland slate, so slight natural variation in grain and edge is part of the material rather than a flaw.
Why we love this: There's a quiet companionship to this design — two ponies, heads together, at home on the moor — that suits a coaster or tray meant for slow mornings and shared pots of tea just as well as it suits a gift for someone who loves horses.
Good to know: orders are usually dispatched within 2–3 working days, or from 25th October for orders placed while we're away, sent via Royal Mail Tracked 48. If you've added personalisation, please allow a little longer, as each piece is engraved to order. Not quite right for you? Non-personalised pieces can be returned within 30 days of delivery — just get in touch and we'll sort it. As these are made specifically for you, personalised pieces can't be returned unless damaged or faulty.
