Basenji Dog Slate Coasters

A set of hand-finished Highland slate coasters, each one engraved with the portrait of a Basenji — the small, alert hound known for its curled tail, wrinkled brow and famously quiet nature. Four different poses are available, so no two coasters in a set look quite the same.

The four designs:

• The Watcher — standing square on, ears pricked and taking in the view.
• On the Lookout — sitting upright, composed and watchful.
• On the Move — caught mid-stride, tail curled high and full of purpose.
• Face to Face — a close, textured portrait of that famously wrinkled brow.

Size: 10cm x 10cm, finished with foam feet on the underside to protect furniture and worktops.

Personalisation: available free of charge — if you'd like a name or initials engraved on the front, or a short message on the back, add your wording to the “Name, date or message to engrave” box on this page before you add to your basket. We engrave exactly what's submitted, so do double-check spelling and capitalisation first.

Available individually — choose your favourite design — or as a set of four, one of each. Each piece is engraved into genuine Highland slate, so slight natural variation in grain and edge is part of the material rather than a flaw.

Why we love this: There's something quietly fitting about a characterful companion captured in genuine Highland stone — it's the sort of coaster set that gets picked up and looked at properly, not just used.

Good to know: orders are usually dispatched within 2–3 working days, or from 25th October for orders placed while we're away, sent via Royal Mail Tracked 48. If you've added personalisation, please allow a little longer, as each piece is engraved to order. Not quite right for you? Non-personalised pieces can be returned within 30 days of delivery — just get in touch and we'll sort it. As these are made specifically for you, personalised pieces can't be returned unless damaged or faulty.
